3 years have passed since the events of the first DigiDestined, new kids have been choosen to fight the evil and of course the old DigiDestined are older now. Like Hikari (Kari) and Takeru (T.K.), which visit the USA. There they meet a boy named Wallace who fights together with Terriermon against another Digimon. This Digimon always says "go back" to Wallace, but he doesn't understand what that means. Wallace goes back to Colorado after this fight, while Hikari informs Davis about this incident. Davis, Yolei and Cody head to the USA after receiving the message and at the same time Kari and TK ride the train to follow Wallace. Davis, Yolei and Cody therewhile meet Wallace and go together with him to his home. Because Daisuke and Wallace miss the car hitch-hiked by Yolei and Cody they later are riding on Raidramon the rest of the way but before doing so, they get attacked by Wendigomon and before disappearing again it tells Wallace to "go back" one more time. So Daisuke and Wallace riding to Wallace' home unsure of what happened where the american boy tells them that once he got two Digimon as a partner. Gummymon and Kokomon. But ony day Kokomon suddenly disappeared, got in contact with a computer virus and now is an evil Digimon. This virus was nothing more than Diaboromon.

Later Wendigomon digivolves again and again until it reaches its Mega Level and now it seems to be invincible. But while all of this is happening no one seems to know where the old DigiDestined are right now.
So the world is one more time terrorized by Diaboromon and this world has to be saved now by the new DigiDestined. Are they strong enough to see how the shining golden sun is going up again?
