 Gameplay

Picture Gallery

As Digimon you move around the 3d world totally freely. Below on screen you see the gauge for health points, experience points and level of every active player. Alone there is only 1 Digimon controllable, but three players can join on your journey, this will boost the fun greatly. When starting out the game is almost impossible to play alone, therefore having someone to play makes the beginning much easier, after some levels are gained the game becomes easier.

Unlike DW 2 and 3, battle take place in real-time again. To enchance your digimon there are weapons and armours to equip, later digivolving is possible. The used system for dungeons is called dungeon crawler, because you run around in dungeons, fight enemies to find the right way to the bosses. Most of the dungeons have traps and hindrances, closed doors for themself need ID passports, to open them.

 Graphic & Music

The game was released for PS2, GC and XBox, but the graphic standart looks more like PS1 style. There are situations where everything you see is square-edged. Even more often you will see pallid colours, rather unusually for a Digimon game. Similarly, there is frequently weird mist. Another point of criticism is the abbreviations of words.
On the other hand, the music is quite alright and choosen very well.
