 Story

Junior, his friends Ivy and Teddy heard about a new ground-breaking game called "Digimon Online" and decide to play it. The registration of new accounts is complete, they enter the game and shortly after are catched in an accident, now they can't return to the real world for a unknown amount of time. "Cool!" or "Yeah, playing even more!" you would think, but... there is more behind this. Lucky Mouse a famous hacker, makes his appearance and the Gamemaster suspect's him to be the culprit, is he really the bad guy here? And what is even more interesting, is there more to the virtual reality?

 Gameplay

The normal area, where the players moves around. You move with a reasonable speed over various regions and there are always your DigiPartner walking behind you, on they Rookie Level.

After getting a special item, you can enter new areas by calling Submarimon and dive with him. Later there is another one with similar features to unlock.

The fights are turn-based and 3 Digimon can be "carried" at the same time. Every fight is battled with 1 Digimon versus 1 Digimon and you can choose some options too (e.g.: attack, item, digivolution, switch digimon, dna-digivolution). Furthermore there is to note that wild Digimon only attend as single in battle, npcs, bosses and yourself of course have 3 Digimon, all Digimon of the enemy must be defeated to finally win a battle.

As a special bonus for this game, there is a card game. It isn't the same as the original Digimon card game, but in fact it is good and can make you very addicted to it.

PAL version: Unlike the NTSC version, the game dosen't end after the last battle, that enables player to unlock other features, like the epic items.

 Graphic & Music

The worlds are very rich in detail and look fairly good for the standart of playstation (and DW 3 precedessors). Almost every level has its own background music. Only the attacks and music used in battles are little diversified.
