One day a strange SMS reaches Takuya Kanbara right on the birthday of his younger brother,. He runs as fast as he can to the station to get the train and to get further instructions from this mysterious person. But on the way he always notices a guy who seems to get those SMS too and also is now together with Takuya in this train. Suddenly a new SMS tells the boys tat they should better get the subway at 6 o'clock but when Takuya arrives there and gets into the trail he meets thre other kids, Joe, Zoe and Tommy. Allof them got those strange messages too and nobody knows what's that supposed to mean.
The so-called Trainmon brings the children to a city which is inhabitated by Digimon and Takuya and the others are suddenly attacked by one of them unknowing of what is waiting for them. Because in the middle of the fight Takuya discovers the secret of the Legendary Warrior's Spirit and later on his new friends get one of those items to in order to become a digimon and to fight for a peaceful Digital World which is in great danger.
