Three years ago, Tai, Matt and the others saved both the DigiWorld as well as the human world. Everything seems peaceful and everyone lives his life back in familiar tracks. But suddenly emergency signals reach the DigiDestined from the DigiWorld. The Digimon Kaiser tries to get the Digimon under his control with black rings and black towers.

Tai goes to the DigiWorld searching for Agumon and his Digimon Partner shows him a strange Digi-Egg with the emblem of courage on it. Ater Tai touches it, the power of this Digi-Egg is released and Davis, Yolei and Cody get a Digivice of the new generation. Now Davis tries to take the mysterious egg and suddenly Veemon appears who seems to be his Digimon Partner. Later on Yolei and Code meet their partners too in a temple when touching the Digi-Eggs of Love and Knowledge. Together witrh the three new DigiDestined and their partners the old DigiDestined tries to get rid of the Black Towers and also of the Digimon Kaiser. If they only know that this is only the beginning of the end of both worlds.
